Community Manager/Copywriter

PRIORITY FUNCTIONS

● Responsible for daily consumer engagement, monitoring and publishing across social platforms, ensuring all activity and consumer comms fit within the global social framework
● Identifies opportunities for brand response and local campaigns through daily monitoring of key channels and local culture and trends
● Concepts and creates social campaign content and brand responses that are appropriate to specific social platforms and local language and culture

Community Manager/Copywriter - Role Description

Combining a love for social culture, social strategy, creative concepting and writing, the Community Manager/Copywriter plays an integral day to day role as the voice of Uber’s social brand activity and consumer engagement. They’re fluent in concepting and collaborating, and have mastered the art of writing in multiple styles for various social platforms. They’re comfortable presenting copy and concepts to clients and their ideas are fresh, strategic, and always on brand. They are skilled in all aspects of platform management, adhering to all brand guidelines and operating principles. In all, this is a maker position, geared towards someone who is both self-sufficient and a team player, and can fully own the creative process from concept to creation to completion.

    ● Manage the quality of social copywriting deliverables, ensuring they meet client standards and client brand guidelines
    ● Concept and collaborate with creative and social teams, including connections, social strategists and analysts
    ● Collaborate directly with Designers, Strategists and more daily to align on creative concepts and deliverables
    ● Write compelling social copy, headlines, and calls to action
    ● Work with Project Managers and Strategists to ensure creative concepts and copy tones are on brand and strategically sound
    ● Collaborate with Senior Project Manager to ensure copy is delivered on deadline, and that the editorial calendar is managed and updated
    ● Identify and foster UGC and potential brand partnerships that fit with the brand’s visual style and personality, and work closely with the creative team to expand on these opportunities
    ● Track and report on key positive and negative feedback and comments, flagging any potential crisis level incidents to local Uber teams

    The Ideal Person:

    ● Has an intrinsic interest in and knowledge of all things social, from culture to trends to platforms
    ● Has extensive experience with social platforms, technologies and innovations
    ● Understands and enjoys creating content that resonates with communities both local and abroad
    ● Is an expert listener and observer of local trends in real life and online, and can translate those themes into brand communication
    ● Has experience with social media marketing and integrated communications
    ● Is an expert collaborator with creative, media and comms planning teams to build social content
    ● Builds strong relationships with clients and team members, while deepening their overall knowledge of social marketing
    ● Understands targeting and segmentation strategies, and the approach for paid media on all platforms
    ● Has an unwavering desire to drive innovation with regards to social content and media

    You bring:
    ● 5+ years’ social community management/copywriting experience at an integrated, creative and/or media agency, brand or studio
    ● A natural DIY ethos: what you can concept, you can also create
    ● Experience identifying cultural trends and driving content ideas for social platforms
    ● Deep understanding of all social media platforms operating procedures and publishing principles
    ● An inclusive, modern view of local and global culture and how it translates to social content and creative
