• Executive Communications: Strategically manage the external and internal positioning of the Bayer Taiwan MD as main representative of the company through targeted interviews, speaking opportunities, public presentations.
• Public Relations: Devise reputation and image building strategies based on status analysis to improve the company’s performance and ensure a base of support from key stakeholders as well as generate an environment that fosters the continued growth and development of Bayer’s business.
• Public Relations: Leverage the assets of Bayer (Bayer Cross brand, products, CSR programs, operations, people) to enhance the value of the Bayer brand by demonstrating to all key stakeholders that Bayer is more than the sum of its parts and that our values and standards are world-class. Work closely across subgroup communications through the communications community council to ensure that Bayer in Taiwan appears with “one face” to our key stakeholders.
• Media Relations: Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and drive positive media coverage on the company through proactive media relations programs such as media advisories, media pitches, contributed articles, press releases, speeches and supporting collateral, media events and roundtables. Track and monitor efficiency of media relations work though relationship with media analysts.
• Branding/Image building: Manages & guides all corporate image advertising, including print, broadcast, films, photo shoots and outdoor advertising projects undertaken usually in collaboration and with financial support from Bayer AG if any
Employee Communications: Develop and direct exciting, effective employee communications, utilizing the full spectrum of available media and events (print and electronic media, town hall meetings, bulletin boards etc.), to generate pride in and support for the goals and objectives of the business at the Group, region and site levels.
• Issues and Crisis Management: Undertake a leading role in issues, conflict and crisis management, as well as in change communications, and establish a corresponding network in order to control internal and external communications flow and to communicate Bayer’s position.
• Community relations/Public Affairs: Work in close relations with Government affairs/liaisons office to develop and direct the creation and operation of an effective Community Affairs function to work with divisions and sites in the creation and management of CPAs, creation and management of positive relationships with local opinion leaders in relevant communities such as government, community and civil society organizations, academic institutions, industry groups and environmental associations.
• Budget: Establish and manage Corporate Communications annual budget in a responsible and cost-effective manner.
