Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer ensures that products and processes meet established quality standards through systematic planning, auditing, testing, and reporting. The role involves analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement, implementing quality control systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability and compliance.
Technical Skills:
1.Quality Management Systems (QMS):
• Proficient in ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or relevant industry standards.
• Experience in internal and external audits.
2.Statistical Analysis & Tools:
• Skilled in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with tools like Minitab, JMP, or Excel for data analysis.
3.Problem Solving & Improvement Methodologies:
• Trained in Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred), Lean Manufacturing, and 8D methodology.
• Capable of driving Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
4.Documentation & Compliance:
• Ability to develop and maintain quality documentation (e.g., control plans, FMEA, PPAP).
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and customer-specific requirements.
Soft Skills & Communication
1.Attention to Detail:
• High level of accuracy in inspection, reporting, and analysis.
2.Analytical Thinking:
• Strong diagnostic and investigative abilities for identifying quality issues.
3.Collaboration:
• Works cross-functionally with production, engineering, and suppliers.
4.Communication:
• Clear verbal and written communication for reporting findings and conducting training.
Tools & Software Proficiency
• ERP Systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Quality tools: 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, Pareto Chart
• MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• CAD tools (optional, for understanding design specs)
Education & Certifications (Preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Preferred certifications: CQE (Certified Quality Engineer), Six Sigma, Lead Auditor.
