• Documentation and Planning: Create and maintain Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, and Manufacturing
Instructions.
• Design and Development: Oversee the design of assembly jigs and fixtures, ensuring they meet the necessary requirements for efficient production.
• Acceptance Criteria: Define and implement product release acceptance criteria, including in-process testing and final outgoing inspections.
• Failure Analysis: Conduct product failure analysis and develop corrective actions to address issues.
2. Product Lifecycle Management:
• Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing assembly engineering team to support mass production, focusing on First Pass Yield, engineering changes, and cost and productivity improvements.
• Customer Complaints: Lead investigations into customer complaints, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Documentation Maintenance: Ensure PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, and Manufacturing Instructions are up-to-date and accurately reflect current processes.
• Operator Training: Collaborate with Production to address operator training needs and skill competency issues.
3. Process capability development:
Develop the technical/skill competency of the engineers to fulfill high-end technical requirements. One of the focused areas is the optical-mechanical alignment technique.
4. Process improvement & productivity:
Drive improvement in quality, yield and process time. Set target and achieve the result in the project time frame.
