【About the Team】 - We provide on-premise enterprise software with LLM-powered solutions, such as document searching, meeting assistent, fine-tuning and QA-driven application. 【About the Role】 We are looking for a self-motivated engineer who loves to solve core of machine learning and algorithm in an iterative and fast-moving environment. You will mainly focus on model training and inference part in our product. In this role, you will - Fine-tuning and evaluate local LLM model. - Apply the latest ML techniques in our product. - Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, product managers, designers, and operations folks to create cutting-edge products 【Your background looks something like】 - 2+ years of relevant engineering experience at tech and product-driven companies - Proficiency with Pytorch, TGI-like service and other training framework and inference technologies - Proficiency with some backend language (we use Python mainly) - Interest in API-design and backend (direct experience not required) - Ability to move fast in an environment where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines We anticipate the role being focus 60% on machine learning and 20% on backend API and 20% on other (infrastructure, docker, Kubernetes, CI) 【Mindset】 1. Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between our company and customers, ensuring that our hardware and software solutions meet client needs effectively. This role involves customer engagement, hardware specification comparison, comprehensive product testing, and cloud platform expertise. Key Responsibilities: Customer Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing technical inquiries and building strong relationships. Understand customer needs and provide tailored hardware and software solutions. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and seamless project execution. Hardware Specification Analysis: Evaluate and compare workstation and server specifications across various suppliers. Provide recommendations for optimal hardware configurations to meet client requirements. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to ensure competitive solutions. Product Testing: (good to have) Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies, including: Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure seamless software updates. Integration Tests to validate component interactions. Regression Tests to ensure new updates do not impact existing functionality. Unit Tests to verify individual component performance. System Integration Tests to ensure overall solution reliability. Document testing procedures, results, and improvement plans. Cloud Platform Expertise: (good to have) Utilize and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for product testing and deployment. Develop scripts and workflows for automated testing and deployment on cloud platforms. Monitor and optimize cloud resources to align with project needs and budget. Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Proven experience in customer engagement and technical support. Strong background in hardware specification analysis for workstations and servers. Hands-on experience with product testing methodologies (CI/CD, integration, regression, unit, and system tests). Proficiency in AWS or GCP with relevant certifications preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with testing tools (e.g., Jenkins, Selenium, pytest, or similar). Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation. Understanding of cloud-based architecture and services. Desired Traits: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
