大地光纖股份有限公司Global Fiberoptics Inc.成立於 1999 年 12 月 31 日，為美國母公司 DiCon Fiberoptics Inc.在台設立的首家獨資子公司，地點位於高雄市。南台灣不僅擁有穩定且優秀的人才資源，更因 DiCon 創辦人 李和成博士 在此成長，並於國立成功大學完成學業，於2024年更榮獲母校「傑出校友」的肯定。 初期的大地光纖以高端光纖零組件設計製造為主，隨著技術與規模成長，公司已發展為具備完整垂直整合能力的多元化團隊，涵蓋晶片自主製作、元件封裝、模組整合到複雜光纖系統開發，並擁有堅強的研發、設計、製造與物流團隊。今日的大地光纖能從創新設計到量產製造全程完成，推動產品性能不斷突破，並服務全球關鍵應用市場。 美國母公司 DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. 創立於 1986 年，總部位於美國加州舊金山灣區，最早以光纖交換元件起家，深耕光通訊領域超過三十年，掌握 WDM 薄膜鍍膜、光微機電及矽光子等技術核心，成功跨入量子電腦與 AI 資料中心等新興產業，成為全球供應鏈的重要合作夥伴。 此外，DiCon 於 2002 年成立 LED 固態照明事業部，研發出獨創 Dense Matrix LED 技術，打造高效能、多色控制與專業級照明方案，並建立多個品牌行銷全球。大地光纖承接此技術平台，在台灣成立照明事業部，從 LED 封裝到燈具設計全面發展，將尖端科技與藝術設計結合，產品深受國際專業市場肯定。 今日的大地光纖，以高端光元件及核心技術為基石，垂直整合領先世界的光資訊系統。 Global Fiberoptics Inc. was established on December 31, 1999, as the first wholly owned subsidiary of DiCon Fiberoptics Inc. in Taiwan, located in Kaohsiung City. Southern Taiwan was chosen not only for its stable and high-quality workforce, but also because DiCon’s founder, Dr. Ho-Shang Lee, grew up in this region and completed his studies at National Cheng Kung University, where he was honored as a “Distinguished Alumnus” in 2024. In its early years, Global Fiberoptics focused on the design and manufacturing of advanced fiber optic components. As technology and scale grew, the company evolved into a diversified organization with full vertical integration capabilities, spanning in-house chip fabrication, component packaging, module integration, and complex fiber optic system development. Supported by strong R&D, design, manufacturing, and logistics teams, Global Fiberoptics today provides end-to-end solutions from innovative design to mass production, consistently driving performance breakthroughs and serving mission-critical markets worldwide. The U.S. parent company, DiCon Fiberoptics Inc., was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. Originally established as a manufacturer of fiber optic switch components, DiCon has spent more than three decades in the optical communications industry, mastering core technologies such as WDM thin-film coating, MEMS, and silicon photonics. In recent years, it has successfully expanded into emerging industries such as quantum computing and AI data centers, becoming a key partner in the global supply chain. In addition, DiCon established its LED Solid-State Lighting Division in 2002, pioneering the proprietary Dense Matrix LED technology. This innovation has enabled the development of high-performance, multi-color control, and professional-grade lighting solutions, marketed worldwide under multiple brands.
