Sales Engineer

  • 全職

The Sales Engineer partners with the Sales team as the technical lead to support the sales of services and products using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation. The Sales Engineer will articulate technology and demonstrate product functionality to both business and technical users, and will assist in identifying relevant technical issues to assure complete prospective customer satisfaction. The focus of this role will be on less complex products/solutions or a single solution.


o Help partners/client in understanding the flow and use cases scenarios of Digital River’s offering
o Provide consultation to partner-joint client projects on standard and custom integrations, including but not limited to create POC and assist in discussing with partners/clients on DR APIs
o Serve as liaison between partner/client Project Management and technical teams during implementations
o Trouble-shoot and resolve intermediate and advanced technical problems for product implementations
o Assist with technical documentation for product installation & administration, partner/client training, and seminars


o Provide solutions recommendations to Solution Architects, and technical guidance to partner/client’s delivery team and QA team
o Contribute to Solution Architecture team repository/sample code to enable re-use and cross-team knowledge sharing.
o Identify opportunities for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions
o Consult with Product Development on supported technologies and customer-proposed changes


o Participates in customer discovery discussions to understand and document
business needs and design requirements necessary for the formulation of recommended solutions
o Delivers canned and custom sales presentations/demos that help drive closure of sales opportunities
o Works closely with internal departments in sales activities through bidding, negotiation, and sales closing process for new projects, RFIs, RFPs and outgoing Order Forms.
o Interface with sales impacting functional areas within the company; Sales, Product, Deal Desk and Partner Enablement

  • 其它條件: · 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture/Technical Pre-sales
    · Experience supporting, testing, and delivering API-based solutions in a client-facing organization
    · Ability to diagram technical solutions using relevant tools
    · Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills, must be capable of accurately assessing needs, and taking quick action to resolve issues
    · Direct experience presenting a technical solution to non-technical and technical audiences to demonstrate the capability
    · Direct experience effectively interacting in client facing situations with great interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill


    Preferred:
    · Proficiency in Java, SQL, and/or Web Services
    · Experience in eCommerce/payment
