Image Quality Tuning and Verification Engineer



THE ROLE:



AMD Image Signal Processor (ISP) team has immediate opening of image quality (IQ) tuning and evaluation engineer. The successful candidate will work with global teams and local teams to improve AMD ISP image quality.



THE PERSON:



The candidate would be hired in as image quality tuning and algorithm quality evaluation engineer, with the expectation that he/she would have minimal 3 years of image quality tuning or image quality algorithms experience in the camera, image processing or similar industry.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



·Complete ISP end-to-end tuning method to achieve the best image quality for AMD ISP
·Compare AMD and competitors’ devices with all image quality metrics
·Understand AMD ISP algorithms and design test cases and test plans to check image quality of algorithms
·Support 3A/ISP algorithm engineers to ensure algorithm image quality
·Maintenance of ISP image lab, management and equipment survey and procurement
·Test image data collection and field test
·Work with IQ tool engineers for IQ tool development


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:



·BS-CS/BS-EE with at least 6 years' experience or MS with at least 4 years' experience in image processing algorithm development or image quality tuning and verification
·Experience in camera ISP or 3A (AE,AF,AWB) algorithms tuning
·Good knowledge on image/signal processing
·Good knowledge on camera image quality
·Strong individual analysis, problem solving skills and teamwork attitude
·Experience in 3A or ISP algorithm development is preferred
·Customer support experience is preferred
·Familiar with image quality test standards is preferred

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

·Bachelor or Master, major in EE, CS or related area
