CMF Color Matching Engineer

【TEAM INTRO】 The Consumer Industrial Design team continues to grow in support of the expanding needs of all consumer market segments. We are looking for talented designers/engineers to help us take on the additional projects and support the company growth. We need designers with the courage to explore new ideas and forms, combined with the ability to collaborate respectfully in a team. 【POSITION SUMMARY】 Develop and promote CMF (Color, Material, Finish) plans for plastic and elastomeric materials to support and complete Garmin product development process 【ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS】 a. Implement CMF plan and meet mechanical performance requirements through formulation design and optimization of molding parameters. b. Possess highly sensitive color judgment through visual assessment. c. Conduct on-site color matching and communicate effectively with designers and suppliers. d. Define key color specifications and product requirements. e. Collaborate with suppliers and track the progress of the CMF plan for each project. 【 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED】 a. Minimum bachelor's degree in materials, chemistry, mechanical, or industrial design or equivalent. b. 4-6 years of CMF (Color, Material, Finish) experience in consumer products. c. Knowledge of various colorants, polymers, and molding parameters. d. Ability to conduct on-site color matching and communicate with designers/suppliers. e. Able to express ideas in English and collaborate with international talents. f. Proactive and supportive in project management
