ACS Product Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer (PE) to join our dynamic team. As a Product Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability, performance, and scalability of our distributed edge infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth operation of systems and services deployed at edge locations, balancing the unique challenges of low-latency, bandwidth-constrained, and IT environments. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud-native technologies, edge computing frameworks, and infrastructure automation, with a strong focus on reliability and security. Responsibilities: • Implement, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant, and highly available edge infrastructure. • Automate the provisioning and management of edge computing environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible. • Ensure edge systems are resilient to node failures, network disruptions, and hardware issues by designing and implementing redundancy, failover, and disaster recovery strategies. • Monitor and troubleshoot performance and reliability issues across distributed edge nodes using tools like Prometheus and Grafana. • Optimize applications for low-latency, bandwidth-constrained environments, working with development teams to ensure efficient resource usage. • Implement and enforce security best practices for edge devices, including device authentication, data encryption, and regular security updates. • Collaborate with software engineers, network engineers, and operations teams to optimize the performance and reliability of the edge network. • Set up robust monitoring and alerting systems for real-time tracking of edge system performance and incidents. • Lead incident response and root cause analysis for failures within the edge network, ensuring continuous improvement through postmortems. • Stay up to date with the latest edge computing technologies, tools, and best practices to continuously enhance system performance.
