Responsibilities: • Work independently to develop material handling automation, process equipment design concepts and detail mechanisms in response to manufacturing needs, issues, or problems. • Conduct engineering analysis to deliver robust and cost-effective solutions for fixture / gripper design, material handling, process equipment, and process improvement projects. • Provide directions to machine builders, systems integrators, and suppliers on design and fabrication of prototypes, production equipment and material handling automation. Proactively participate in design reviews, check-out, installation, debug, and production start-up. Deliver integrated equipment systems to internal customers on-time, on-budget, and on process performance targets. • Perform tests and evaluate data to make recommendations on automation and equipment performance. • Collect and analyze material handling or process needs to select suitable off-the-shelf automation such as industrial robots, collaborative robots, AMRs, AGVs, etc. • Program, teach, integrate, and troubleshoot off-the-shelf automation like robots, AMRs, etc. with connecting process equipment, conveyors, and buffers. • Communicate ideas and project status clearly and professionally in writing and orally. • Provide necessary documentation of activities, results, procedures, project scope, and assignment status. • Execute project assignments with minimal supervision. • Responsible for the accuracy of work performed; proactively ensures high quality of work Requirement : ▪ BS or above degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related fielded. ▪ 3+ years of combined work experience in mechanical design, equipment build / prototyping, and automation programming, integration, installation, debug and machine tuning. ▪ Proficient in AutoCAD or SolidWorks / Inventor. ▪ Experience in equipment design: conceptualization, material selection, prototyping & testing…etc. ▪ Mechanical drawing comprehension ▪ Manufacturing processes: milling, turning, grinding, sheet metal, etc. ▪ Knowledge of material properties and suitable application in equipment design ▪ Automation and process equipment concept development. ▪ Detail oriented and able to perform with limited supervision. ▪ Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office). ▪ Customer and service-oriented; meets customer needs with good results and quality in deliverables. ▪ Ability to build effective working relationships with others. ▪ Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and tasks. ▪ Ability to contribute to the development of others. ▪ Proactive, independent, flexible, quick learner.
