Role Summary In this role, you will be responsible for validating the reliability and quality of Unifi Switch products through rigorous design verification and system-level testing. As a member of the DQA team, you are expected to be detail-oriented, proactive in identifying potential issues, and open-minded in cross-functional discussions to ensure product excellence. You will work closely with hardware, software, and manufacturing teams to uncover root causes of SFP, PoE, and storage-related issues, and develop effective test methodologies or countermeasures. Your efforts will directly impact product quality and user experience for deployments across the globe. Responsibilities - Participate in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for networking products, with emphasis on quality validation during the design phase. - Execute comprehensive DQA test plans for products such as L2/L3 switches, NAS, and other network-related devices. - Perform functional, compatibility, stability, and basic environmental testing to ensure product robustness. - Verify key networking features including traffic forwarding, PoE (802.3af/at/bt), routing protocols, Bluetooth, and wireless performance. - Record, analyze, and interpret test data; assist in root cause analysis for design-related issues. - Collaborate with hardware, software, and mechanical engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve defects. - Prepare clear and professional test reports, and maintain high-quality documentation of test cases and results. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. - 2+ years of experience in product testing or QA, preferably in the networking, server, and storage field. - Strong familiarity with L2 networking protocols (VLAN, STP, DHCP, NAT, BGP, etc.) - Experience in validating PoE (802.3af/at/bt), Wi-Fi, and hardware/software interoperability - Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills - Proficient in English technical writing and documentation Preferred Qualifications - Hands-on experience in developing or maintaining Python-based automation scripts for test execution or data analysis. - Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and the ability to enhance test coverage through scripting. - Familiarity with L3 networking protocols (VLAN, STP, DHCP, NAT, BGP, etc.) - Proficient with test automation tools, Python scripting is a plus - Intermediate understanding of Ethernet switch architecture, including port configuration, backplane bandwidth, and feature validation. - Experience in conducting compatibility and interoperability testing for SFP modules, PoE-powered devices, and storage peripherals. - Knowledge of thermal, EMI, or power-related testing is a plus. - Exposure to manufacturing quality processes, including design validation, second source evaluation, or failure analysis. - Experience with tools like IXIA, Spirent, Wireshark, and reliability chambers is preferred
