PRF Sustaining Engineer

Summary/Objective The PRF Sustaining Engineer will be a hands-on engineer with project management expertise and will be responsible for the product bring-up, debugging, perform root cause analyses and characterization of Samtec’s PRF cable/connector products through manufacturing. Need to know mechanical drawing, soldering process, RF cables prepping, and mechanical engineering knowledge. Essential Functions/ Responsibilities. - Review and rationalize new product scopes - Conceptualize and design RF interconnect products using 3D CAD. - Advise in fabrication, testing and troubleshooting of component parts. - Define characterization and test plans - Actively participate and support peer design reviews and other team efforts. - Review and approve detail drawings. - Oversee all design enhancements to the manufacturing process on an as needed basis. - Review test results and address deviations as required. - Support the Lead RF Engineering in the design and testing of new products to ensure manufacturability. - Handle multiple projects simultaneously as priorities can change very quickly. -Solid interpersonal communication skills, a professional demeanor, cooperative personality and a team attitude are all required.
