We are seeking a talented Electrical & Software Engineer to join our team in Taipei, integrating the electrical and software core of our automated material synthesis platform. *Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled SWIR QD Device Engineer to drive the development, fabrication, and comprehensive characterization of high-performance devices utilizing our synthesized PbS QDs. This critical role involves hands-on work in a cleanroom or inert environment, focusing on translating cutting-edge material science into functional, optimized photodetectors for short-wave infrared (SWIR) applications. *Responsibilities: 1. Device Fabrication: Design, implement, and optimize wet-chemistry-based thin-film deposition techniques (e.g., spin-coating, doctor-blading) for multilayer PbS QD active and transport layers in inert (glovebox) environments. 2. Process Optimization: Develop and refine device processing steps, including ligand exchange, annealing protocols, solvent selection, and electrode deposition (e.g., thermal evaporation, sputtering) to maximize device efficiency and stability. 3. Optoelectronic Characterization: Perform detailed electrical and optical characterization of finished devices, including I-V (current-voltage) curve analysis, EQE (External Quantum Efficiency), spectral response, responsivity, and noise measurements. 4. Material Characterization: Utilize advanced analytical techniques to characterize thin-film properties, including AFM/SEM, XRD/TEM, UV-Vis-NIR absorption/PL spectroscopy, and transient measurements to correlate material quality with device performance. 5. Failure Analysis: Conduct systematic troubleshooting and failure analysis to identify performance bottlenecks in device architectures and fabrication processes. 6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of fabrication parameters, characterization data, and experimental results, and present findings to the interdisciplinary team. 7. Collaboration: Work closely with the Quantum Dot Synthesis team (including the Automation/AI Engineers) to provide feedback on material requirements and integrate improved QD batches into device platforms. *Preferred Skills and Experience: 1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree (Ph.D. highly preferred) in Materials Science, 2. Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. 3. Direct Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in the fabrication and characterization of thin-film optoelectronic devices (e.g., Quantum Dot LEDs (QLEDs), solar cells, or photodetectors). 4. Core Material Knowledge: Deep understanding of the physics and chemistry of colloidal quantum dots, particularly PbS QDs, including surface chemistry, ligand exchange, and film formation. 5. Cleanroom/Inert Environment: Proven proficiency working within an inert atmosphere glovebox for moisture/oxygen sensitive materials handling and device processing. 6. Instrumentation: Expertise in using key characterization tools (spectrometers, source-measure units, microscopes, environmental chambers). 7.
