1. Responsible for providing quality repair and preventive maintenance service of company equipment at Lab. May install or relocate customer equipment and perform associated start-up and check-out procedures under supervision.
2. Perform on-site preventive maintenance. Order and replace defective units, components or parts as appropriate.
3. Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct diagnostic procedures to isolate problems and take steps to minimize downtime or system interruptions and eliminate equipment malfunctions.
4. Determine corrective actions required and escalate for assistance and prompt resolution with the support of technically more experienced staff for assistance and guidance when assessing severity of malfunctions and determining corrective actions required.
5. On the job Training (OJT) to assist with installing and start up and/or relocating equipment at customer’s site.
6. Remain up to date on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals and other relevant materials.
7. Execute project action items under direct supervision.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned by senior FSE / supervisor.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Installation of new tools in the field. Follows all procedures and provides a consistent result within specified cycle times. Achieves a predictable warranty start.
• Evaluates, analyzes, diagnoses and fixes technical equipment problems related to installation. Can repair issues using standard procedures or innovate to resolve system problems which can have multiple causes.
• Solving problems and repairs of sophisticated system level problems are based on Installation Engineer's technical knowledge and training. Installation Engineers seek help from Staff Engineers and Management when problems occur that may exceed knowledge, education and training.
• Prepares field service reports and daily passdown on Installation progress and non-conformances. Contributes to post-activity Quality Feedback Report
• Hold pre-installation meetings with the customer to scope customer unique requirements then create plans of action to measure and satisfy the unique needs. Execute plans of action and validate deliverables with the customer.
• Meet with customer to facilitate warranty signoff after the activity is complete.
• Acquires all vital international travel documents and manages their personal lives to be ready for domestic and occasional international travel.
• Handles personal finances to prevent disruption to scheduled activities - even when traveling for extended periods.
• Travels domestically and internationally by commercial transportation to customer sites.
• Assists other engineers as necessary. Provides mentorship and technical assistance at customer sites. Can develop basic POAs. Provides phone and on-site support for junior engineers

As an RMA Technician in Global Quality, you will be responsible for Return Material Authorization inspection related activities in the lab. You will be assisting engineers in managing failure analysis (FA) related activities, quality inspection, maintenance, random audit, training at production lines. Also responsible to support quality program/Audit/6S/ESD activities at the site as needs arise.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Perform Failure Analysis (FA) and Track Tasks
• Conduct rework using re-baller or solder station.
• Implement basic bench top electrical analysis.
• Complete failure verification using specified test equipment.
• Interpret system-level/ATE fail information.
• Export data from fail history databases.
• Understand backend test histories.
• Isolate failure types
• Resolve if failures are consistent/intermittent.
• Log failing data - failing pins, leakage and IDD values, fail locations (bitmap), failing test registers, etc.
• Supervise information into the RMA database.
• LPDDR SLT/RMA and HBM advance debug.
Respond to Equipment Issues
• Understand test software and hardware configurations
• Perform high-level debug of software problems
• Fix hardware issues
• Work with appropriate engineering teams to resolve equipment issues
• Configure and upgrade test equipment
Perform Engineering Requests and Supplemental Tasks
• Work with engineers to understand special test requirements

Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in electronics or semiconductor manufacturing preferred; new graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of electrical/electronic principles
• Experience in electrical analysis/debug soldering/PCB-level re-work
• Good interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Work on multiple tasks and balance priorities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in teams.
• Experience with Unix/Linux and programming (C, Perl) is a plus.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts.
Education
