We are seeking an seasoned and strategic Business Development Specialist/Manager (Procurement & Supply Chain) to lead our business operations in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, and new product launches to drive business growth from the ground up
In this Role, you will:
Procurement & Sourcing
•Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers
•Develop long-term supplier relationships to ensure consistent quality, cost efficiency, and innovation.
•Conduct cost analysis and implement strategies to improve profit margins.
Supply Chain Management
•Oversee end-to-end supply chain, including forecasting, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics.
•Coordinate with manufacturers, freight forwarders, and warehouses to ensure on-time delivery to Amazon FBA, Walmart fulfillment, and other distribution channels.
•Implement supply chain efficiency improvements to reduce lead times and costs.
New Product Development & Launch
•Work closely with suppliers and engineers and designers to develop prototypes and ensure products meet quality standards and compliance requirements.
•Plan and execute new product launches, ensuring alignment with marketing, pricing, and distribution strategies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate and manage key project workstreams within larger NPI or manufacturing ramp programs.
2. Track milestone schedules, deliverables, action items, and program risks across cross-functional teams.
3. Facilitate regular meetings, drive follow-ups, and maintain issue/action trackers.
4. Communicate with stakeholders across functions and time zones, ensuring alignment and timely execution
5. Contribute to process improvement and documentation efforts.
6. Business travel or visits to overseas manufacturing facilities, as necessitated by task requirements, to ensure seamless production operations.
Hard Skills/Experience
1. Must have technical background
2. Must have experience in Ophthalmic Lens industry (making of prescriptions lenses for eyeglasses)
3. Hands-on experience managing or supporting projects with major clients, such as European and American consumer electronics brands .
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration.
5. Language Proficiency – Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
