Math Tutor Recruitment Requirements
General Requirements
Must be from a native English-speaking country (e.g. USA, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa).
Fluent in spoken and written English with clear, neutral pronunciation.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Demonstrated passion for teaching and working with international students.
Reliable, punctual, and professional in attitude and appearance.
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Education, or a related field (Master’s or teaching qualification preferred).
Teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, state teaching license, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years of teaching or tutoring experience with international school students.
Familiarity with international curricula and standards, including:
Lower School: foundational numeracy, problem solving, and early math literacy
Middle School: pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, general math
Upper School / High School: advanced algebra, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, statistics
Exam Prep:
AP Math courses (Calculus AB/BC, Statistics)
IB Mathematics (AA and AI, SL and HL)
IGCSE Mathematics / Additional Math
SAT Math (standardized test preparation)
Other Skills
Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse student needs and levels.
Experience using digital tools/online platforms for remote teaching (Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards, etc.).
Ability to track student progress and provide regular feedback to parents/students.
Availability & Commitment
Flexible scheduling to match international students’ time zones.
Willingness to commit to regular, ongoing tutoring sessions.
