**Job Summary:**
The Safety and Health Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety and health programs within a tissue production facility, ensuring that all employees work in a safe environment in compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role involves identifying potential risks, implementing preventive measures, and investigating incidents to drive continuous improvement. The Safety and Health Manager will collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and facilitate ongoing improvements.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Development and Implementation of Safety Policies and Procedures:
- Develop and update the facility's safety and health policies to ensure compliance with national and local regulations.
- Create emergency response plans and ensure employees are trained to effectively execute them in case of emergencies.
- Risk Assessment and Control:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify factors that may pose a threat to the safety and health of employees.
- Implement risk control measures such as installing safety equipment, configuring protective devices, and improving working conditions.
- Incident Investigation and Reporting:
- Immediately investigate accidents or near misses to determine the root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and share findings with management to prevent future occurrences.
- Employee Training and Education:
- Provide regular safety and health training to all employees, ensuring they understand and comply with safety procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety, encouraging employees to actively participate in safety suggestions and improvements.
- Compliance Monitoring and Audits:
- Monitor and ensure that all operations in the facility comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular internal safety audits and prepare for potential external audits.
- Collaboration with Departments:
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and management teams to ensure that safety measures are seamlessly integrated into production processes.
- Participate in the evaluation of new projects and equipment to ensure safety considerations are prioritized in their design and implementation.
-Health Promotion:
- Advocate for occupational health programs for employees, such as health screenings, occupational disease prevention, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
- Assist management in developing and implementing plans to improve overall employee well-being.
