Job Description:
This role involves creating and refining English content specifically designed for senior high school education in Taiwan. It requires strong writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with teachers and editors to meet educational needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and write high-quality English articles on a variety of topics, with a focus on senior high school textbooks.
2. Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, appropriateness, and alignment with required style guidelines.
3. Collaborate with editors and team members to develop content, plan units, and meet publication deadlines.
4. Provide professional answers to English-related questions raised by high school teachers.
5. Revise and adjust articles based on editorial and teacher feedback.
6. Ensure all content is original, accurate, and tailored to student learning needs.
7. Attend regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions to support content planning and review.
Requirements:
• Language Proficiency: Native English speaker with strong academic writing and editing ability, preferably with an American English background.
• Education: Master’s degree or higher in literature or a related field (Bachelor’s degree acceptable with substantial relevant experience).
• Location: Must currently reside in Taiwan and be able to work full-time in-house.
• Meet at least one of the following qualifications:
1. Experience in English article writing for publication; must provide a portfolio of at least 5 pieces with different topics and writing styles.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ English teaching experience (junior high school level or above; schools or cram schools accepted).
3. At least 1 year of experience in publishing (writing, proofreading, or editing); must provide relevant samples of work.
