Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated R&D Engineer with expertise in crystalline solar module production and glass processing. This role bridges research, design, and project execution, focusing on photovoltaic certification development and experimental planning for glass coloring processes. The R&D Engineer will also play a vital role in designing customized PV modules, managing outsourced projects in China, and supporting product development for international projects.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Development
- Lead PV certification development projects and support regulatory compliance.
- Plan and conduct experiments for glass coloring and surface treatment technologies.
- Conduct on-site experiments in China, including glass coloring trials and certification-related tests.
Design & Customization
- Create CAD drawings for customized solar modules and related products based on project requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to propose optimized technical solutions.
Project Management
- Oversee outsourced production projects in China, ensuring on-time delivery.
- Serve as a technical liaison between European clients and Chinese manufacturing partners.
Market & Technology Research
- Track market trends, regional policies, and competitor activities to support product development strategy.
• Prepare quotes and enquiries and follow up.
• Respond interactively and immediately, verbally and in writing, to customer enquiries and requests, including simple technical enquiries, price and availability quotations and standard repair charges in accordance with the sale strategy of the Key Account Manager.
• Take orders, progress exceptions, progress orders and allocate priorities for effective order fulfilment.
• Where queries are of a technical nature, ensure that they are passed to the appropriate body and that the customer is totally satisfied with the speed and content of the response.
• Be responsible for ensuring that all customer contacts are recorded and consequent administration is kept fully up-to-date, both in file and on computer. Update customers' specification folder or order amendment requests.
• When applicable, participate in following up customer contacts and assist with selling programs to ensure customer satisfaction and growth of sales.
• Follow up product deliveries according the requested customers’ delivery dates.
• Follow up the payment of the invoices.
• Establish relationships with the accounting people of each customer.
