As a Cook/Chef at Piccola Enoteca, you will prepare and execute traditional Italian dishes, showcasing your expertise in Italian cooking techniques and flavors. You will work closely with our team to maintain our high standards of quality, creativity, and authenticity, contributing to memorable dining experiences paired with our curated wines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including pastas, risottos, meats, and desserts, using traditional techniques.
2. Source and incorporate fresh, locally grown ingredients to enhance flavor and sustainability.
3. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop seasonal menu items that complement our wine offerings.
4. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Ensure consistency in presentation and quality for all dishes served.
6. Assist in inventory management and ordering of kitchen supplies as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of professional cooking experience, with a focus on Italian cuisine.
2. Deep knowledge of Italian culinary traditions, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
3. Experience working with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients is a plus.
4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
5. Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
6. Passion for food and wine pairing, with an interest in Italian wine culture.
7. Culinary degree or relevant certifications preferred but not required.
