【About the role】
To support our expanding PowerMOS business we are looking to recruit a Product Engineer to work with our network of foundry partners during the ramp up phases of our new product lines. He/she will be responsible to assess our products potential, derive yield and cost reduction plans and implement them jointly with our foundry partners and our assembly sites.
This will involve leading the activities and managing smaller projects. With your profound knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and fab operations, you will help engineer transistors with outstanding performance.
This role is suited for individuals with a high-level motivation and enjoy working with international teams from across Asia and Europe. The role will be based in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
【What you will do】
• Assume the role of Product Engineer for Power MOS Semiconductor devices, with a focus on PowerMos products
• Define the yield roadmaps, derive the yield improvement plans and implement them jointly with wafer foundries and backends
• Product Yield Engineering: Monitor, sustain and improve the yield of relevant products
• Lead the weekly yield meetings with foundry and assembly sites
• Write yield summary reports (weekly, monthly)
• Raise early warnings if yield loss causes missing weekly delivery quotas
• Initiate and drive yield loss recovery activities
• Drive task forces (yield loss, quality, reliability, delivery)
• Support the product quality & reliability improvement activities, provide the product expertise to the teams
• Support new product introduction, support volume ramp-ups, do yield monitoring and derive a yield improvement action plan
• Drive cost reduction initiatives, drive cost reduction projects within the foundries and identify opportunities for supply chain improvements
• Assist in specifying the product test specification for wafer- and product testing and in reviewing the existing
• Write the Technical Purchasing Specifications (TPS) for new products, and sustain the existing document set
• Support the evaluation of new foundry partners. Jointly assess foundry’s production capabilities for present and new products & technologies
1. Implement service contracts and ensure customer fulfillment in alignment with contract terms and conditions.
2. Identify business opportunities and risks through daily operations and interactions with customers.
3. Serve as a technical expert for production support, both internally and externally, including tester cell integration and device testing issue debugging.
4. Resolve complex technical problems by analyzing data remotely or on-site and developing proactive action plans.
5. Act as the first point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships and enhancing customer satisfaction.
6. Lead or mentor less-experienced engineers, encouraging knowledge sharing and promoting best practices.
7. Support the annual renewal process of service contracts in collaboration with the sales team.
