【Introduction】
Our client is a prominent Japanese company that operates primarily in the field
engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for various industries.
【Responsibilities】
- Support the HSE Manager and act on their behalf during their absence.
- Serve as the primary reporting point to the HSE Manager; in their absence, report directly to the Site Manager.
- Prepare presentations and required documentation for external audits and attend these audits when needed.
- Lead the HSE team in the overall management and execution of HSE initiatives, programs, and procedures.
- Coordinate updates to the Work Method Statement for construction-related HSE scopes.
- Liaise with contractors on all Health, Safety, Environment, and Security matters to ensure alignment with Client, Taiwan, and the company's policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of operational risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards for critical activities in accordance with Taiwan requirements.
- Provide HSE guidance and maintain an understanding of the distribution of construction tasks among consortium partners.
- Take ownership of all HSE&S site inspections (regulatory or otherwise), ensuring timely closure of action plans.
- Investigate and follow up on accidents, incidents, and near misses; assist in preparing reports and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Monitor all HSE procedures, recommend measures to prevent accidents, and address health and safety risks across all sites.
- Develop and implement workplace health and safety plans in compliance with Taiwan's legal requirements, with regular updates to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Deliver training sessions and presentations on health and safety topics, including accident prevention.
【Requirements】
- Conversational in English (spoken and written)
- Certified in Class A of Occupational safety and health affair managers (Construction)
- More than 3 years of total HSE experience
- Large-scale EPC/EPCM projects, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or LNG sectors.
