A. Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supporting IT daily operation in Kao Terminal to achieve very high level of system availability and stability. This includes coordinating and working with local as well as overseas IT resources to implement solutions as requested. Providing IT solutions based on well understanding of processes and requirement of Marine Terminal operations. And also responsible for supporting implementation of Terminal Operation System (TOS) projects.
B. Key Accountabilities:
●Responsible for IT daily operation maintenance to support round-the-clock terminal operation service.
●Assist to analyze, implement, optimize and maintain Terminal Operation Systems.
●Prompt response to TOS crisis to minimize huge potential loss due to impact to Terminal and Vessel operation.
●Ensure system availability and stability to provide smooth business operational support for business continuity.
●Support EDI systems in terms of Terminal operation requirement related.
●Responsible for IT inventory, procurement, asset management and documentation.
●Network management support.
●System architecture management.
●Infrastructure management support.
●Security management.
●Telephony solution management.
●Non-TOS((Terminal Operation System) local applications management.
●Wireless solution support and management.
●IT inventory, procurement, asset and server room management and documentation.
●Office 365 support.
●Support End User computing and training.
●Perform IT related duties as assigned.
1. Providing office IT environment support and data center infrastructure administration and user problems troubleshooting.
2. Ensuring site IT resources are adequately protected from internal and external threats
3. Ensuring critical IT resources are restored to minimize any disruption to the business (IT disaster recovery plans)
4. Installing and configuring operating systems, anti-virus software and other applications
5. Ensuring the Company complies with the global and regional IT requirements in terms of the hardware and software platforms to be used
6. Conducting IT security compliance training to all users periodically and performing IT compliance checks among Asian sites periodically per Group’s requests
7. Good communication skill in team-support and detail-oriented are required.
8. Completing ad-Hoc projects as required

To be a candidate for this role you will ideally have worked in a laboratory and have experience or aptitude in computer programming. Having used a LIMS would be beneficial.
Successful candidates will receive extensive internal training and mentoring. This is an exciting role with a variety of responsibilities and travel throughout Asia Pacific, including Taiwan.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Analyse and document customer requirements.
2. Implementing LabWare LIMS through configuration.
3. Deliver training courses to the customer project team.
4. Assist customers with their validation and testing stages appropriate to their industry.
5. The ability to work with minimal supervision and provide direction to customers.
Requirements (preferred):
1. A tertiary qualification in Science and/or Information Technology.
2. Fundamental programming skills such as Basic language.
3. An understanding of laboratory or QC processes.
