- Molex is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer to promote and ensure a safe workplace at our Molex Taiwan site. The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineer managing Environmental, Health, and Safety programs. The role includes compliance with regulatory requirements, risk management, and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization. Our Team
- You will join a dedicated EHS team that includes an EHS Engineer, Safety Engineer, EHS Technician, Facility Engineer and General Affairs assistant. The team works closely with corporate safety professionals to support the Molex Tamsui, Sanchong and Xinyi office site and establish corporate EHS standards and guidelines. This position will report to the EHS Manager.
What You Will Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain management systems to ensure compliance with EHS policies and procedures in compliance with Global EHS and local regulations.
- Provide proactive leadership and direction to achieve the EH&S vision through management commitment and employee ownership.
- Conduct routine and non-routine EH&S reporting including government interactions, ensuring submissions are compliant with required deadlines.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures.
- Ensure all employees and contractors receive adequate EHS training tailored to their job roles and responsibilities, fostering an environment where employees understand and exercise their decision rights regarding EH&S.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular emergency drills.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into all operational activities.
- Lead the investigation and analysis of incidents and near-misses to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Track and report EHS performance metrics to management, utilizing tools like Power BI for data analysis and trend identification.
- Engage with the workforce to promote a positive safety culture through regular communication, training, and recognition programs.
- Actively apply Koch’s Principle Based Management™ (PBM®) to all EHS activities and initiatives such as Electrical safety, LOTO, Equipment Safety programs and utilize tools such as Enablon, Sphera and RA…etc.
- Influence external stakeholders to adopt and integrate Koch's EHS standards and practices.
- Lead and maintain BCP to ensure operational resilience and risk mitigation.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, particularly ISO/OHSAS standards.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 systems; knowledge of ISO 14064, and RBA standards is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and EHS training.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Fluency in both English and Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional certifications in occupational safety management specialist or occupational health management specialist or occupational safety and health management personnel.
