Tainan Future Learn (TFL) Experimental Institution, partners with Cambridge Assessment International Education, OxfordAQA and British Council Partner Schools to deliver high-standard bilingual and English-medium secondary education to students in southern Taiwan.

Role Purpose
To maintain and enhance professional development and academic quality in the teaching center, through the management of in-house teacher development programme and support
To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English
To provide learners with a rewarding and stimulating English language learning experience

Accountabilities
Plan and deliver high quality English language lessons which meets the needs of different customer groups, taking into account individual learning styles – up to the number of contracted teaching hours
Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to help manage students’ performance throughout the course, and actively promote learner autonomy and sense of progress
Contribute to the development, evaluation, and improvement of English language courses, materials and related services, in order to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the teaching team
Complete teaching related administrative tasks to specified standards
Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure quality and high standards in teaching and learning, and maintain British Council’s position at the forefront of best ELT practices
Contribute to the development of lasting, mutually beneficial relationships by enhancing students’ understanding of contemporary UK
Assist the teaching centre team in delivering excellent customer service and upholding British Council Values and Behaviours
Ensure safeguarding and guidelines are applied and upheld in line with standards and policy for the following areas:

Work Schedule: The center is open 7 days a week. We are looking for hourly-paid teachers to work primarily on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
