Your Profile:
1. A degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
2. Knowledge of vessel systems, including mechanical, electrical, and propulsion systems.
3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
4. Proficiency in English (written and spoken); additional language skills are a plus.
5. Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Job Description (includes, but not limited to the following):
1. Ensure the technical performance of vessels, maintaining operational efficiency and compliance with the standards.
2. Plan and oversee maintenance, repairs, and dry-docking activities, coordinating with shipyards and contractors as required.
3. Conduct regular inspections to address potential issues and verify vessel safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance.
4. Analyze and report on vessel performance, proposing solutions to improve reliability and cost-efficiency.
5. Liaise with classification societies, flag states, and regulatory authorities to maintain compliance with all applicable standards.
6. Collaborate with crews, project teams, and departments to align technical operations with organizational objectives.
7. Manage technical budgets, monitor costs, and oversee the procurement of necessary spare parts, tools, and equipment.
8. Provide technical expertise in emergency situations, troubleshooting and resolving incidents efficiently.
