Candidates must possess 3+ years in 3D content creation as Art Director or Art Manager. Professional game or VR/AR development is required. Must present an online portfolio of relevant 3D artwork for consideration.

HTC Creative Labs is a global team of designers, artists, engineers, and researchers that delivers design strategy and incubates new products and experiences for the HTC portfolio. This team is responsible for much of HTC’s most significant design work over the past decade. Our current focus is on creating next-generation XR software and hardware experiences for the HTC VIVE brand and VIVERSE ecosystem. Our process relies on the collaboration of exceptionally talented individuals to create products that offer functional benefits and emotional resonance to our target audiences.
Responsibilities
• Direct the creation of 3D arts and skilled at balancing art quality and performance optimizations.
• Establish style guides and specs required to define the art direction of the project.
• Work closely with creative leads and production teams in developing ideas, strategy, and origination of creative design briefs.
• Develop the creative production schedule with inputs from creative team leads in line with the overall production schedule.
• Oversee changes to creative scope and assets based on technical production requirements and constraints.
• Display strong communications, attention to detail, and a proactive nature.
• Be a strategic thought leader and assist the business in discovering new ideas and opportunities.
Qualifications
• Experience providing direction on visual, creative, technical execution and strategy for interactive or AR/VR driven experiences.
• Experience managing a range of creative positions i.e. motion designers, 3D designers, technical artists, sound designers, etc.
• Experience creating moodboard and storyboarding for concepts and design presentations.
• Experience working with game engines (Unity or Unreal), and major 3D software (Cinema 4D, 3Ds Max, Blender, Maya)
• Experience with asset pipeline, integrating 3D models, textures etc. into Unity 3D.
• Flexible to changes in production and able to shift focus between a range of tasks.
