Summary:
As a Night-Shift Area Manager, you will supervise night shift production activities, require >70% of the working hours on the shop floor. And responsible for safety, quality, and productivity CIP and well develop all the night shift, team members. Co-work with Day-shift staffs and other departments to ensure no barrier in both communication and support. And take the Immediate Response leader role.
Job Responsibility
• In charge of production capacity schedules and control cost effective to avoid waste. Manage day to day operations to meet weekly production planning's priority and people discipline.
• Planning and executing key operation strategies and establish long/short term targets to cope with business goals.
• Strong sense of urgency to take immediate recovery actions and follow-up.
• Establish strong working relationships with each function within operation teams including EH&S, quality, Logistics, maintenance and Supply chain.
• Lead the team to develop those new and CI (Continuous Improvement) opportunities into high volume manufacturing implementable processes, can significantly improve manufacturing process efficiency, reduce costs or improve product quality across global sites.
• Own all performance based management including goal setting, coaching, training, developing, and feedback to improve individual performance of direct reports
• Create relevant management reporting to support the business with high data accuracy on a weekly basis and communicate in a timely manner.
• Provide support to new product scale-up to high volume manufacturing as required.
• Direct and monitor 1st line production operation and shop floor activities to insure that any problems relating to safety, customers, production schedule, output, quality and etc. are promptly and effectively resolved.
• Acts as a primary back-up to the Production Leader.
• Supervises all daily production activities.
• Supervises Process Engineers to provide necessary support to operation team.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry with managing plant operational and people background, interfaces with or manages cross functional teams.
• Fluent in English, prefer to have work experience in international environment.
• Strong leadership and Interpersonal communication skills.
• Be familiar with chemical and operating chemical industry equipment.
• Familiar with Lean/6 sigma and solid improvement experience would be a plus.
