Support the component suppliers during development and series phase regarding characterization of electrical drives and confirm the relevant KPIs (key performance indicator) such as NVH (Noise vibration harshness), torque and efficiency. Specify, purchase, set-up and operate independent measurement equipment for electrical drives. The use of measurement data analysis tools (Matlab, CANape or similar tools) should be familiar in order to derive the interpretation of the generated measurement data. Experience with common measurement technology for the characterization of electric drives required. (use of oscilloscope desirable) Conceptualization of new and innovative electrical drive unit product designs, working with an international development and design team in Europe and Asia. You will cooperate and represent the electric drive topics about functionality, components, electronics packaging and integration. Detailed product design reviews to ensure a high level of product quality are conducted regularly as part of the project and therefore work closely with the project team, engineering and manufacturing, as an active simultaneous engineering (SE) team member.

PCBA Design Review and Manufacture: • Review PCB and PCB Assembly (PCBA) of a new design. • Review PCB and PCB Assembly (PCBA) of design changes. • Propose PCB/PCBA design changes for maximising manufacturability. • Liaise with PCB supplier on manufacture Gerber changes, V-cuts and design artefacts that is required for efficient production of PCB. • Liaise with PCBA subcontractors on special requirements of SMT and DIP processes. • Involve in the revision of the design BoM into the manufacturing BoM. • Communicate requirement and coordinate the creation of rigs required for PCBA production (e.g. stencils and carriers) Standard Work Implementation in Production: • Create new Standard Work Instructions (SWI) for SMT/DIP processes at subcontractors and for in-house manufacture. • Revise existing SWIs, upload to DCOs and follow up approval process to completion. • Create and implement electronic testing SWIs, including power up testing, GP functional testing, burn-in testing if required. • Introduce the standard works into subcontractor or production line, by releasing the documents and offer trainings. • Assist in the continuous improvement process of PFMEA. Sustaining Engineering Support: • Assist in validating alternative components for EOL engineering. Health & Safety: • Maintain a health and safe work environment and work with the Line manager to mitigate and eliminate hazards that put at risk fellow employees. • Conduct routine safety audits and action issues identified promptly and reliably. • Participate in departmental risk assessments, incident reporting and incident investigations.
