PEAK Wind is looking for an Operations Control Engineer to strengthen and support our local Operations and Maintenance Team for an offshore wind project in Taiwan. Based in our 24/7 Operations Control Centre (OCC) in the O&M Base, you will act as Operations Control Engineer for O&M, in one of Taiwan's largest offshore wind farms. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, you will be an essential part of our Operations team, responsible for daily monitoring and control of the Windfarm. The first year of the role will be strongly focused on take-over from the construction organization and ramping up the OCC and establishing operational processes. • Review and evaluate electrical design systems, products, components, and applications to be provided to or by the EPC Contractor. • Confirm system and component capabilities by liaising with manufacturers and other suppliers. • Supervise installation works by EPC Contractor regularly and assist in daily operations, ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and/or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support and/or testing activities. • Assist in establishing installation standards and specifications, to be adopted in construction of both on-going and future projects. • Report to Head of Construction when required. • Attend site visits, meetings with any authorities, prepare RFQs’ for purchase of electrical equipment, materials, and installation services. • Maintain and manage engineering database and coordinate amongst subcontractors. • Receive and analyse monthly certifications and prepare all necessary report. • Supervise or coordinate between sites and other project team members, including the Project Development team. • Estimate material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
