The Senior Product Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and plans to expand the access point foundation of Chamberlain Group’s myQ ecosystem. This person steers a high-performing cross functional teams to identify new sourced and ODM product additions to expand our myQ portfolio.
This role will collaborate closely with Sourcing and Engineering to engage with Asian-based suppliers to expand our myQ video-enabled ecosystem accessory product category. This Sr. Product Manager will have a thorough understanding of the North American market, product requirements and excel at delivering value- added accessories that will scale rapidly as part of the myQ ecosystem.
The Sr. Product Manager supplies advice and assistance to the Senior Director and General Manager – myQ video and partners closely with Engineering, Sales, Connected Services, Operations, Customer Experience and Marketing teams to develop and drive the Residential Services product strategy and execution.
The Sr. Product Manager also supports the supply chain logistics of new ODM products to North America and will partner with the Product Management team in North America to execute effective GTM commercialization, and portfolio management through a deep understanding of Residential access points, people, and access experiences.
This individual will be responsible for achieving portfolio operating plan: achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment.
Duty and Responsibility:
• Strategy: Responsible for the development, communication, and implementation of the BU’s Residential strategy for myQ accessory product category and expansion of services. Responsibilities include delivering strategy, product portfolio management, integrated marketing planning and pricing strategies.
• Operating Plans: Drives annual and 3-year operating plans for their product category and the Residential BU, which are aligned to overall CGI business objectives (Revenue, GP, OI, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Innovation).
• P&L Management: Support achievement of full P&L objectives for the BU, driving profitability, volume growth and market share, as well as best in class execution of product and services. Owns achievement of product category ANSP and GM, recommending and implementing pricing objectives, strategies, and guardrails to extract maximum value on new and existing products.
• Product Strategy: Defines and communicates the product category vision in support of the BU strategy, including maintaining a clear product roadmap aligned to business goals in the short and long-term.
• Go-To-Market Planning: Partners with the business unit’s marketing, sales, and customer experience leaders to develop go-to-market strategies to win in targeted customer segments.
• Team Building: Works collaboratively with peers and managers to build a world class product management organization that thrives on customer insights, embraces customer experience thinking, and role models a data-driven approach.
• Process Improvement: Ensures the Residential Marketing team has the necessary processes and procedures in place to manage the quality, cost, and delivery of products. Identify areas for improvement, propose improvements to the Residential Directors of Product Marketing and SVP GM and ensure team acts when corrections are needed.
• Functional Collaboration: Works cooperatively with Sales leaders to align on overall BU strategy and deliver compelling product solutions. Collaborates with Sales and Sales Operations functions to define channel pricing strategies, sales program terms, and channel map designs.
• Customer Retention & Loyalty: Along with the Customer Experience and Marketing teams, develops a clear after-sales and service strategy, to ensure customers are cultivated and supported in the long term.
This Sr. Product Manager will directly report to VP, Product team in Chicago US.
