The Chemical Mechanical Planarization manufacturing business is seeking a CMPT Improvement Engineer at the site in Hsinchu Site II, Jhunan. This business unit is part of DuPont’s Electronics and Industrial Division. Electronics and Imaging is comprised of a number of high growth global businesses supplying a broad array of materials to multiple consumer electronics and industrial sectors. The CMP facilities consist of polymer manufacturing, and numerous converting operations such as finishing. The role provides technical expertise and direction to improve our competitive advantage for the manufacturing of CMP pads. The CMPT Improvement Engineer is recognized as a leader and expert in that technology and leads projects to upgrade processes and products that may range from incremental improvements to major technology changes. A primary focus is to develop improved process mechanical, instrumentation and control strategies, process safety, productivity, yield, quality, plant capacity and uptime performance. Responsibilities: o Continuous improvements to process mechanical design and operation of pad manufacturing tools and modules. o Develop Basic data for capital improvement projects including working with vendors and other team members. o Identifies and works with technical personnel to develop best practices for process(es) and most effective technologies. o Drives product by process through development and documentation of manufacturing standard processes. o Drive process improvements that benefit yield, quality, uptime and capacity. o Leads troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex manufacturing problems. o Responsible to develop plans for and support Commissioning, Decommissioning, Start-Up and Shut Down activities. o Responsible for the qualification of new equipment

Key Role and Responsibilities: • This position will be responsible for leading slurry segment research works to build broader and comprehensive slurry product portfolio, delivering technical solutions of CMP slurry applications to achieve customer engagement success and support slurry business growth. It involves customer’s pathfinding / R&D / mass production / centralized units in the area of global semiconductor industry. • The main responsibilities of this role include initiating fundamental researches and innovating on experimental methodologies, leading formulation design and product development activities, facilitating communication with customers on both chemistry and CMP process, consolidating technical progress documentation and patent writing, presenting DuPont’s product and technology externally. • This position will be collaborating with multiple functions through the entire slurry product development cycles, including global R&D team, scale-up, sales, field service engineer (FSE), product quality engineer (PQE), manufacturing and marketing, to ensure product commercialization with robustness and sustainability in alignment with business strategy.

Summary: As a Night-Shift Area Manager, you will supervise night shift production activities, require >70% of the working hours on the shop floor. And responsible for safety, quality, and productivity CIP and well develop all the night shift, team members. Co-work with Day-shift staffs and other departments to ensure no barrier in both communication and support. And take the Immediate Response leader role. Job Responsibility • In charge of production capacity schedules and control cost effective to avoid waste. Manage day to day operations to meet weekly production planning's priority and people discipline. • Planning and executing key operation strategies and establish long/short term targets to cope with business goals. • Strong sense of urgency to take immediate recovery actions and follow-up. • Establish strong working relationships with each function within operation teams including EH&S, quality, Logistics, maintenance and Supply chain. • Lead the team to develop those new and CI (Continuous Improvement) opportunities into high volume manufacturing implementable processes, can significantly improve manufacturing process efficiency, reduce costs or improve product quality across global sites. • Own all performance based management including goal setting, coaching, training, developing, and feedback to improve individual performance of direct reports • Create relevant management reporting to support the business with high data accuracy on a weekly basis and communicate in a timely manner. • Provide support to new product scale-up to high volume manufacturing as required. • Direct and monitor 1st line production operation and shop floor activities to insure that any problems relating to safety, customers, production schedule, output, quality and etc. are promptly and effectively resolved. • Acts as a primary back-up to the Production Leader. • Supervises all daily production activities. • Supervises Process Engineers to provide necessary support to operation team. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or above. • Over 5 years of experience in manufacturing industry with managing plant operational and people background, interfaces with or manages cross functional teams. • Fluent in English, prefer to have work experience in international environment. • Strong leadership and Interpersonal communication skills. • Be familiar with chemical and operating chemical industry equipment. • Familiar with Lean/6 sigma and solid improvement experience would be a plus.
