About this team:
lululemon Sustainable Business and Impact team leads the work with key partners and stakeholders to achieve the goals set in lululemon’s IMPACT AGENDA. A day in the life:
- Work closely with vendors, internal teams and local partners to ensure responsible supply chain and vendor code of ethics (VCoE) compliance
- Conduct Responsible Supply Chain assessment, training and capacity building program, including visiting factories in Taiwan regularly to elevate and ensure that the vendor is fully complying with the codes
- CAPA management to follow up on facilitating corrective action plans to ensure issues are resolved
- Monitor social compliance and environmental legal requirements, vendor issues, risks and trends for the responsible vendors and regions. Notify the Senior Manager, Responsible Supply Chain East Asia, if any risk is flagged for risk mitigation alignment and execution
- Submit high-quality communication and deliverables (reports, assessment recaps, projects, etc.) promptly to all internal partners
- Ensure the social compliance database is up-to-date and accurate
- Drive for continuous program improvement and sustainable development
- Conduct vendor and country/region risk assessments and recommend risk mitigation and capacity building. Effectively apply this knowledge to assess partners VCoE compliance levels and potential impacts on lululemon's sourcing, quality and production strategies
- Conduct training for internal and external business partners on lululemon VCoE requirements
- Understand risks and trends of VCoE compliance status of the supply chain in Taiwan and proactively engage to mitigate and prevent risks
- Lead or support Responsible Supply Chain and human rights initiatives in Taiwan, ensuring successful program deployment and achievement
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's or Advanced degree, preferably in Sustainability, Labour Studies, Environmental Science or other related fields
- At least 7 years of experience in social and environmental assessment, including auditing and capacity building, with certifications such as APSCA certified auditor, ISO14001, or SA 8000, is a plus
- Possess deep knowledge and experience in social responsibility, human rights due diligence, modern-day slavery, worker empowerment, industry and global trends and ways to drive responsible supply chain practices
- Good understanding of environmental knowledge issues, standards and processes such as wastewater, hazardous waste, chemicals management, air pollution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin are required, and fluency in other languages is an asset
- Excellent facilitator, trainer and communicator and able to develop and deliver training and capacity building for vendor partners and internal partners
- Willing to travel up to 70% of the time in Taiwan and other countries as assigned
