As Application development engineer, you will be responsible for working with semiconductor fab customers to develop applications around Holistic Contamination Control Solutions.
****Responsibilities****
1. Working with semiconductor fab customers, helping the customers to identify, solve and prevent AMC caused problems, especially FOUP/wafer AMC cross-contamination caused wafer defects which have an impact on fab yield.
2. Using equipment and facility in Brooks Taiwan lab (ITRI Hsinchu) to design, execute experiments and collect data to validate hypothesis or convince customers.
3. Documenting the high-value, complex technical problem-solving process in great details: clear problem statement aligned with customers, root cause analysis, containment actions, solutions, and preventions. Etc.
4. Working with software team to design, implement and verify software features which can help customers and service team to identify, solve and prevent AMC caused problems.
5. Requirement for taking business trip to Germany or customer sites.
****Skills and Capabilities****
Technical competencies
- AMC knowledge – what are the AMC seeing in the fab, where they are coming from and what problems they can cause.
- AMC measurement techniques (IMS, CRDS, PTR-MS, UV Fluoresce etc.)
- Semiconductor wafer manufacturing process and defect control methods, especially FOUP AMC control methods (FOUP Clean, Purge, Queue time control etc.)
- Design of Experiments
- Data analysis
- Operate semiconductor manufacturing equipment
- Complex technical problem solving
- 2+ years’ experience as semiconductor process engineer or related industry.
- Ability to read and write in English.
Communication skills
- Communicating with customers with professionalism as an expert.
- Working with Brooks team to solve customer problems in collaborative way.
- Documenting problem solving process, DoE, data analysis, making report (email, word, excel or presentation) to customers and internal teams.
