As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the following key activities:
1. Generate innovative mechanical designs for new products, considering functionality, efficiency, and manufacturability.
2. Utilize computer-aided design software like Pro/E and Solidworks to create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
3. Develop testing processes and conduct thorough testing and validation of new designs to ensure they meet performance and quality standards.
4. Evaluate the performance of mechanical components, devices, and engines to identify areas for improvement.
5. Analyze and test prototypes, iterating through design revisions to enhance product performance.
6. Prepare detailed documentation of critical analysis, offering suggestions for error correction, and diligently tracking project development and design progress.
7. Collaborate closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to effectively allocate and monitor resources for project success.
8. Assist engineering teams in addressing factory-related issues during the manufacturing process.
9. Flexibility to travel to manufacturing sites, including locations in the Philippines and India, for 1-2 weeks during production phases, ensuring smooth project execution.
To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
1. Mechanical Design Experience: Possess over 3 years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in networking and consumer electronics products.
2. Proficient English Communication: Demonstrate strong proficiency in both written and spoken English, as you will be interacting with customers and manufacturing sites.
3. Expertise in IP Ratings: Have experience in designing waterproof and dustproof products, including knowledge of International Protection (IP) standards such as IP65, IP66, and IP67.
