Job Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing direct marketing activities for targeted market segments. He/She provides direction in the development of data selection and segmentation techniques to support the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) marketing activities. He/She collaborates with International regions to ensure that primary initiatives are effective and aligned to overall strategy. This position supervises country Marketing team.
Job Duties:
• Manages Market Prioritization and Segmentation
- Identifies and prioritizes market segments to improve initiative effectiveness, guide sales efforts and support profitable growth.
- Oversees and assists with data analysis.
- Assess market opportunity and revenue projections.
- Conducts analysis to forecast goals and guide market development.
- To prioritize product enhancements and identify new market opportunities and growth potential.
- Update Priority Markets model to support business cases for further investment.
- Conveys Market Prioritization and Segmentation strategies to various functions and the International regions.
- Monitors market evolution in opportunity markets to identify/propose needed adjustments to UPS development plans.
• Supports Market Planning
- Partners with regions to complete market analysis and capture knowledge in country-level fact books.
- To assist regions in determining most important and actionable issues for UPS to address in the coming plan year.
- Assists regions and countries in building initiatives and gain support for initiatives.
- Works with regions and countries to develop appropriate metrics with which to measure initiative impact.
- Assists regions in ongoing measurement and reporting of progress toward initiative goals.
- Communicates Market Plan learnings, objectives and initiatives across functions to gain support and common understanding of key issues.
• Supports Market Development Projects
- Identifies global issues that will impact UPS performance in the medium to long term.
- Conducts in-depth analysis to support business cases for acting upon key issues.
- Builds and presents business cases to upper management and across groups to secure commitment, funding, development and deployment where warranted.
- Participates on cross-functional teams in place to address key business issues.
