A. Core Purpose:
As Tender Manager the role requires responsibility for managing Sales, Bids, Contracting processes and the relationships with client and other stakeholders. From the promotion of products and services, and bidding solutions to existing clients, to seeking new clients and undertaking stakeholder engagement to identify any risks to the Company’s achievement of Sales targets.
B. Key responsibilities & accountabilities:
Principal duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
• Manage sales opportunities from initial enquiry through to bid submission, including, on a regular basis, the preparation of proposals with the support of the group tender team
• Develop and co-ordinate contract winning solutions considering pricing and commercial strategy to meet or exceed customer requirements and explore all avenues to meet customer expectations and minimise business risk and costs
• Develop strong relationships with external and internal customer and Joint Venture contacts and manage relationships until confirmation of preferred bidder and handover to the Project team
• Hold the regular sales meeting/call with the Sales and Tender team to monitor and track all the sales and tender opportunity and biddings.
• Maintain and update the Company’s sales and tender system (salesforce, etc.) and follow-up on any submitted proposals to understand client buying preferences and drivers.
• Supporting Head of Commercial to implement integrated sales, tender and marketing activities which support the company’s business plan.
• Supporting the UK-based Tender team in developing the technical, commercial and financial solution as the bid progresses. Work closely with the group to ensure a thorough understanding of the solution and customer needs
• Supporting Head of Commercial and marketing team in providing the logistical support for exhibition and conference attendance and other events
• Supporting Head of Commercial in conducting market research and giving insights to the business as well as staying abreast of the industry and report on market intelligence including client strategy and development, industry trends and new products and services
• Attend client meetings in support of the management team and group members
• Attend industry, government and other stakeholder events and report to management on any issues that may impact Company activities and the achievement of the business goals
• Provide an effective channel for customer feedback to drive Company continuous improvement.
• With support of Group Legal and the group tender team, supporting Regional Director (APAC) and Head of Commercial (APAC) to conduct and/or manage the successful negotiations on all revenue earning contracts and securing commercial and contractual terms in line with Company Legal guidelines.
• Supporting the group in identifying and developing new accounts
• Ensure strong working relationship with all departments in the group and shareholders. Provide feedback to all relevant business areas to ensure lessons learnt and product trends captured.
• Ensure the Commercial activity is conducted in line with Company RQHSE, bidding and contracting requirements.
• Mentor the team member (if) on implementing the requested tasks and being the competent at the requested commercial role.
• Ensure effective project handovers are completed after each successful contract award to fleet, project, HSE and finance departments.
• Supporting the Regional Director (APAC), Head of Commercial (APAC) and senior management team with other requests as required.
