Key Responsibilities:
Reporting line to Head of Business Management, leads team which contribute to the following functions:
1. Overseas site selection: To evaluate multiple sites in the markets of EU, US and Asia Pacific to provide a short-list of sites for BOD’s consideration
2. Financial modeling of various sites based on cost inputs and analysis of site-specific factors
3. Apply for grants / incentives to lower overseas capex / R&D investments
4. Project Implementation in EU/US: land lease, project management, grant milestone tracking & reporting
5. Overseas collaboration with corporate partners and research institutes
6. Relationship-building with governments in various U.S. states, and EU countries
Qualifications and Requirements:
1. Minimum 8 years of successful business management experience in a major company.
2. Experience in overseas site selection or overseas business management in Europe or America.
3. Experience in the manufacturing industry is essential.
4. Willingness to consider re-location / long period of work in EU in future.
5. Previous experience applying for government grants, e.g. preparing business plans for scientific research projects or overseas manufacturing investments would be a plus.
6. Team leader with good communication skills; listens with empathy; demonstrates ability to lead to collaborate across departments and build high performing teams
7. Good execution skills and able to apply critical thinking to validate results and solve complex issues
8. Experience building high performing teams with a consultative approach to collaboration, leadership and execution
9. Strong ability to synthesize data, develop insights, identify and translate findings into actionable recommendations through communication, presentations and reports to management
10. Effective communicator with senior management & BOD (presentations, emails and lead discussions); develop polished presentations and data visualizations to communicate complex data analysis to senior leadership, internal and external partners
11. Ability to independently prioritize multiple work-streams; highly organized with excellent follow-up
12. Able to speak Chinese and English well. Ability to speak French is an additional bonus
13. Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a dynamic and fast-changing environment
