What You'll Do:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (multidisciplinary scientists and engineers, sales, marketing, production) to develop innovative materials and solutions for high-value applications.
• Plan and execute projects in polymer design, synthesis, processing and blending.
• Develop novel chemicals or materials for applications in semiconductor, biomedical or energy-related applications that might offer lower carbon footprints benefit.
• Partner with customers to solve technical challenges and develop effective solutions.
• Responsible for new project initiation including conducting technology, market, competitors, and customers assessments.
• Ensure research activities comply with lab safety and environmental regulations and quality control standards.
• Establish and maintain a database of experimental data and documents to support the tracking and communication of research results.
Who We Are Looking For:
• Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science (or master’s degree with relevant research experience) in electronic materials, value-added polymers, energy-related materials, or biomaterials.
• Strong proficiency in English (listening, speaking, reading, writing). Chinese language a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with colleagues and present findings in a transparent and professional manner.
• Adaptable, creative, and forward-thinking with a commitment to continuous learning.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills through theoretical understanding, experimental execution, and collaborative teamwork.
• Strong self-motivation, ability to manage uncertainties, and a proven track record of self-learning.
