Purpose of the Job: To support Director to plan, implement all tourism marketing programmes and activities in accordance to the agreed marketing objectives and strategies. And to strengthen strategic and timely trade communication in order to enhance destination appeal and promote Hong Kong as a preferred travel destination among Asia. The position is responsible for developing, executing and controlling of all trade related business functions within approved plans and budgets. Dimensions: ● Supervise trade strategy, planning and execution ● Enhance development and implementation of trade campaign ●Develop new potential trade partners ● Refer to trade marketing budget in respective area and geographic coverage: Taiwan External Relationships: This position liaises externally with: ●Relevant authorities for the purpose of promoting Hong Kong’s interests ●Travel trade in the designated area ●Hong Kong trade partners: airlines, attractions, local travel agents, HK hoteliers, land operators, etc. ●Advertising, digital and event agencies ●Taiwan corporate Context of the Position: To play an important role in driving the marketing plans in the region in line with HO’s goals and guidelines. In the process, need to communicate to different parties, both externally and internally, to bring about an effective collaborative marketing effort. Strong tourism knowledge with good understanding of marketing disciplines such as evaluation of media plans, development of innovative tourism marketing programmes and needs of negotiation skills with co-op partners. To assist Director to achieve HKTB’s overall goals and objectives including achievement of tactical promotions KPIs and contribution to the number of overnight visitor arrivals to Hong Kong. Principal Accountabilities: ●Assist to plan, develop and implement all trade related functions and annual operating plan in order to maximize travel to Hong Kong. ●Monitor business activities consistent with objectives and in compliance with legal and policy requirements. ●Implement effective tactical trade programs via developing innovative and action plans. ●Maintain excellent relationship with travel trade via regular product update and training, joint business planning, trade fam and sales calls. ●Provide continuous feedback on operating environment, industry development and competitive activities to the Area team. ●Assist and execute any business related works as deemed necessary by Director, Taiwan. ●To measure campaigns effectiveness with strategic thinking and achieve agreed KPIs. ●Experienced in MICE. ●Demonstrates strong problem solving skills. ●Proactively establish and maintain effective working team. ●A keen eye for detail and QC is paramount. Job Requirements: ●Bachelor Degree holder, preferably in communications, marketing, tourism management or relevant field required ●Minimum 7 years’management experience of sales and marketing experience in tourism marketing ●Excellent communication and interpersonal skills ●High proficiency in written and spoken English skills ●Strong knowledge of tourism industry ●Strong project management, organizational and negotiation skills ●Strong problem resolution and coordination skills, capable to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines ●Strong business acumen and innovative thinking and a good team player
