The Academic Guidance Counselor supports high school students in navigating global university admissions, while contributing to the school’s broader university and career readiness programming. This role blends personalized guidance with international relationship-building and program coordination. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of international university systems, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative, student-centred approach.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide personalized academic and university admissions guidance to students in Grades 9–12, including course planning, extracurricular development, and essay support.
● Assist in refining and delivering a four-year university and career readiness program that aligns with international admissions expectations.
● Coordinate university visits, application workshops, and information sessions for students and families.
● Build and maintain relationships with university admissions officers; represent the school at fairs and professional conferences.
● Support the administration of standardized testing (e.g., PSAT, SAT, AP) and provide data-informed recommendations to students and staff.
