Job Overview As a Sr. Product Dvl Engineer in the Signal Integrity team you will focus on the electrical design, simulation, and verification-validation testing of high speed products in the connector and/or cable assembly, radio system industry—targeting high speed communications and connectivity within datacenters and wireless infrastructure. You will be expected to independently work on projects in the areas of signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout. You will work collaboratively within a broader cross functional team of mechanical, manufacturing, & operations to execute leading edge products designs. You will be the subject matter expert for the signal integrity performance of a product/platform beginning with the initial analysis through prototype fabrication & evaluation, and production verification testing. You will tackle challenging design problems and utilize simulation tools to guide complex designs toward success. Responsibilities: •Subject matter expert in signal integrity design, simulation and validation activities through product development cycles •Establishing signal integrity design performance/functional requirements for new products •Performing signal integrity simulations for multiple high-speed standards on each product. This includes determining the correct simulation methodology and setup to use, as well as a good understanding of the criteria for each interface. •Performing PCB design schematic and layout reviews •Creating actionable recommendations based upon design reviews and simulation results •Guiding connector design and component qualifications from a signal integrity standpoint. Making data driven decisions about the product functionality and areas for improvement. Required Skills/Experience: •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s degree preferred •Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a signal integrity engineering role •Experience with interconnect design or experience with connector &/or cable/cable assembly design (high speed twinax cables, direct attach copper (DAC) cables), &/or RF antenna, RF sub-system •Signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS) •A solid understanding of electromagnetic theory and electrical circuit behavior •Strong analytical capabilities to interpret simulation and lab data to identify issues and provide solutions to fix identified problem. SixSigma methodologies or other strong data analytics background a PLUS. •Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly. Proficient in Altium a PLUS •Experience in project leadership, especially as it applies across design, development & manufacturing teams •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Ability to work in a global environment – able to accommodate varying time zones, fluent in English (verbal/written), able to collaborate with individuals across geographies •Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently
Job Overview: TE Connectivity’s Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) manages assigned strategic customer accounts quality and is responsible for ensuring that TE provides an exceptional customer experience for the Data and Devices (DND) business unit within TE. This includes carrying out global strategies to improve the overall customer experience by partnering closely with sales, engineering, and operations. A key aspect of this position is to establish a real time 360-degree view of the customer’s experience in order to proactively monitor and support our key customer accounts, resolve quality problems in a timely manner, drive continual improvement, improve quality scorecards, and minimize cost of poor quality by fulfilling customer requirements, being responsive, and building customer relationships. This position reports to the Manager of Global Quality Strategic Customer Accounts for the DND business unit. Position Responsibilities: • Quality point of contact for assigned Global & Taiwan’s strategic customer accounts. • Provide the Voice of the Customer feedback to product management, product engineering and manufacturing locations for characteristics that can become quality or application risks to the customer. • Manages Quality / Reliability interactions with the customer, including regular communication and escalations. • Provides technical support in evaluating products from a quality and reliability standpoint. • Leads cross-functional problem-solving teams to investigate quality issues and minimize customer impact, TE PPM, cost of poor quality and drive timely resolution. o Influences without authority in efforts to achieve 5D/8D response time within 10 business days or less. • Responsible for coordinating and ensuring completion of customer quality requested activities across design and manufacturing. This includes coordinating globally for all sites, factories, and associated teams within TE. • Carries out the global customer quality improvement strategy. • Ensures compliance to TE quality policies and procedures related to customer requirements. • Partners closely with sales, engineering, and operations to ensure organizational alignment regarding setting targets and achieving quality objectives for our customers. • Partners with engineering and sales to establish trust with our customers by sharing our DND strategic quality roadmap as well as resolving problems in a timely manner. • Acts as a liaison between TE and the customer for Product Change Notifications and other contractual obligations. • Regularly conducts reviews with key customers regarding DNDs quality & delivery performance. • Drives systemic corrective action and continual improvement for customers through training and implementation and use an array of quality improvement tools. • Regularly reports to management on the overall performance and effectiveness of the assigned global strategic customer account. • Manage quality issues or inquiries for parts in assigned Global Product Lines. The parts may be made at a TE facility or at a sub-tier supplier. • Supports the MRB team functions for disposition of non-conforming products. • Visit local customers and travel within North America to customer locations to review TE product and application as it is being used by the customer and to foster productive working relationships.

Define and execute corrective action plans. • Monitor and maintain customs simplified procedures and program statuses for TE Legal entities in TW. • Design and leverage trade data analytics to identify compliance risks, cost-savings opportunities, and other metrics of value and effectiveness. • Contribute to strategic projects focused on enhancing capabilities of TE's systems impacted by customs considerations to drive efficiencies and cost savings for the company. • Partner with GTS Governance to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, assess the potential impact to the business, and determine the necessary actions and communications with the appropriate stakeholders. • Partner with GTS Governance to review competitive contracts, evaluate scope of services and ensure that TE receives best-in-class partners, services, and systems. • Conduct periodic planning sessions in collaboration with GTS Governance, and Operational Compliance teams to align on strategy, results, and opportunities. What your background should look like: • Bachelor's degree required (international relations, supply chain, law, or related field preferred) • 8+ years of experience in international trade, focusing primarily on TW trade compliance and management of Customs imports programs. • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in communications, industrial, or transportation industries • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in functional leadership or senior management • Functional knowledge of customs I/Export & in/outbound topics across TW. • Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and administer effective trade compliance policies and processes into business operational practices. • Proven ability to build trust and interact seamlessly with a variety of business groups in a dynamic global organization. • Proven ability to execute and provide results despite challenges and setbacks. • Excellent organizational habits and priority management • Customer focused with a commitment to quality. • Experience in working with team remotely and visiting the site for on the ground support/guidance. • Experience in the cooperation of the corporate functional team and the BU operational team in TW. • Understand the customs valuation methods and risky areas. • Understand the Export Control regulations and framework in TW and US/EU. • Experience in the tariff classification and relevant procedure. • Experience in the communication with the local authorities in charge of the cross-border business and import license applications. • Direct management of the brokerage agency including KPI review and RFQ renew, including centralized day-to-day declaration. • Experience in the communications with TW Customs for daily consulting and advance ruling application. • Training for the BUs and the audience in the region • Experience of the global logistics and warehouse operation, in TW, is a plus. • Exposure and awareness of collaboration in the APAC region is a plus. • Customs authorized broker is a plus. • Some travel may be necessary in fulfillment of responsibilities 15-30%.
