Key Responsibilities
• Ensures compliance with the directives and regulations that apply in the company as set/defined by the management
• Be responsible for coordinating the daily management of the attributed account portfolio, incl. assigned global key accounts and local key accounts
• Steer and supervise allocated shipments and projects' operation & execution (from A to Z)
• Ensure own and team members’ operational quality in line with the defined/agreed project standards
• Provide scheduled and timely reports for transport execution progress to clients, overseas offices and management team
• Maximizing efficiency, productivity customer service and teamwork
• Develop and implement effective cost control measures, ensure correct billing and invoicing as well as strong focus on AR collection within the agreed credit terms
• Analyze and improve yield and exploit contractual opportunities (out-of-contract) to create additional revenue/contribution
• Support the line manager on RFQ/Bid/Tender management (incl. RFQ / tender evaluation, pricing, biding documents preparation & submission, following-up & coordination with clients etc.)
• Ensure highest quality level in RFQ / bid tender support
• Optimize procurement and enhance project procurement strategies (under consideration of vendor management principles)
• Identify operational and sales synergies amongst Taiwan team territory and project teams in deugro overseas offices by maintaining close communication and collaboration with the teams
• In coordination with the accounting team to control AP & AR for allocated business
• Suggest corrective measures, where necessary, to management team for timely implementation
• Inspire and encourage team members to achieve their best performance and maintain high morale
• Keep track of the team's progress towards goals, providing feedback and support as needed
• Identify training needs and opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth
• Other duties in line with current position may be assigned by management.
Skills, knowledge, and expertise
• Bachelor degree or higher, preferably in international logistics/trading relative field
• 5 -10 years solid working experience in international logistics/trading industry, having deep knowledge of export & import sea freight/ airfreight transportation
• Good knowledge and understanding of customer requirements
• Good knowledge of IT systems and processes used in the transport sector
• Computer skills: Proficiency in the use of MS Office
• Strong commercial sense and comprehensive risk awareness, return thinking
• Highly flexible and be able to adopt to constantly changing requirements on short notice
• Excellent communication skills -both written and spoken English & Chinese
• Communicative and with good influencing skills, able to create trustful relations in spite of cultural differences and geographical distance
• Result-oriented and driven to achieve goals and meet targets
• Ability to think tactically and strategically, with an analytical mindset
• Good skill of resources organization and optimization
• Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally
• Reasonable over time might be required during bidding stage
• Willing to learn and work under pressure
