Principal Responsibilities: • May provide both pre-sales and post-sales technical product marketing support for the development and implementation of customer applications dealing with complex products, such as operating systems and capital equipment • Makes technical presentations regarding all aspects of company products • Assists sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications • Implements detailed customer installation requirements • Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications to service personnel, company sales representatives, and customer’s employees. • Travel Requirements: up to 15% of travel is required Knowledge & Skills & Competencies: • Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering/science is required • 5 years of related experience and a strong technical knowledge of company product • Background in vacuum physics, semiconductor or thin-film processing are preferred • Experience with analytical and process instrumentation • Experience with using software developments and industrial communication protocols • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving skills Abilities & Behaviors: • Collaborate with a diverse, dynamic, multifunctional team environment • Adhere to established development standards, safety policies and procedures • Acts as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization • Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments

A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Materials Planner at MKS, you will develop accurate demand forecasts, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure supply meets demand for VSD business. This role will require a strong understanding of forecasting techniques, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You Will Make an Impact By: • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned regions, products, and categories • Process intercompany purchase orders and coordinate with internal suppliers to ensure that goods are delivered on time • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including production and logistics teams, to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment • Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer inputs to predict future demand • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to align forecasts with business plans • Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory • Work with procurement teams to ensure materials are ordered to meet forecasted demand • Identify and address gaps in demand plans, working with relevant teams to find solutions • Continuously improve forecasting processes and accuracy through data-driven insights • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on forecast accuracy, demand trends, and inventory status Skills You Bring: • •Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Economics, or a related field • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations • Experience working with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Demand Solutions) is highly preferred • Experience in working within a fast-paced, dynamic supply chain environment, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. • English Speaking + Korean Speaking (plus) Preferred Skills: (Optional) • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and turn it into actionable insights • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively present information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in forecasts and reports • Strong team player who can work effectively across departments and manage cross-functional relationships Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, data analysis)
