MaxLinear is seeking an experienced Field Application Engineer (FAE) to drive new designs with customers in broadband (access and connectivity) and LTE/5G wireless infrastructure businesses. FAE team are key to MaxLinear as the first line of contact for our customers. FAEs help customers to design-in MaxLinear-based solutions to ensure successful deployment in real-world applications. MSA/CMIS knowledge is a plus • Previous experience of optical transceiver module SW development is a plus • Software design/debug skills are a must while basic software programming skills including driver integration and writing ATEs for reference design testing are highly desired • The ability to write ATE SW (Python based) for reference design testing is highly desired • Experienced in 400G/800G/1.6T transceiver design with DML, EML, Sipho Driver/TIA/CDR/DSP/PAM4; including SW/HW debug, and application support is preferred • Familiar with lab instruments including 400G/800G/1.6T switch, Digital Communication Analyzer (DCA), Optical/Electrical Clock Recovery (CDR), logic analyzer, protocol analyzer, and BER tester, etc
