JERA Co., Inc. is one of the largest power generation companies in the world and the largest domestic power generator. It was formed in 2015 as a joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power and Chubu Electric Power. JERA Co., Inc.’s target is to become net carbon neutral by 2050, via a combination of investment in renewable energy, reduction of emissions from traditional power generation through the co-burning of non-carbon fuels and retirement of less efficient generation capacity. The Company maintains wholly owned subsidiaries in the United States, Singapore, Australia and Taiwan and is invested in various thermal and renewables projects in Asia and the United States. JERA Energy Taiwan (JERA ET) is a 100% owned subsidiary of JERA Co., Inc. The company is primarily engaged in the development of wind assets of the coast of Taiwan and IPP thermal (gas) energy projects in collaboration with other industry partners.
