The Role We’re looking for a Microfluidics Lead Engineer to lead the design, prototyping, and testing of microfluidic cartridges that power our drug discovery platform. You’ll translate assay requirements into real-world devices, working closely with engineering, automation, and scientific teams to turn ideas into functioning systems. You’ll own the full development cycle—from concept design and simulation through fabrication, testing, and iteration. What You’ll Do 1. Design Microfluidic Components – Create cartridge and fluidic systems that meet performance and usability requirements. 2. Model & Simulate – Use CFD tools to validate and optimize designs before fabrication. 3. Prototype & Test – Lead rapid prototyping and hands-on testing, refining designs through iteration. 4. Integrate with Instrumentation – Collaborate with automation and software teams to ensure seamless system-level performance. 5. Collaborate Across Teams – Work with scientists and engineers to translate functional requirements into manufacturable solutions. 6. Document & Communicate – Produce clear technical documentation for internal use and external partners. 7. Explore New Tech – Stay current with advances in microfluidics and fabrication techniques to keep us ahead of the curve. You Might Be a Fi8 t If You Have 1. A Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, Applied Physics, or a related field. 2. Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and microfluidic, with 3~6 years of hands-on experience in microfluidics. 3. Proficiency in CAD and CFD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Fluent). 4. Familiarity with microfluidic fabrication methods (e.g., soft lithography, CNC, molding). 5. Experience in end-to-end product development: design, simulation, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing. 6. Bonus: Experience working on products involving biology, chemistry, or lab instrumentation. 7. Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin. 8. The Role We’re looking for a Research & Applications Scientist to bridge science and product. You’ll work closely with users and partners to validate our device through pilot studies, real-world use cases, and collaborative projects. You’ll help gather feedback, translate user needs into product improvements, and guide internal teams with insights on assay design, workflows, and usability. This role is ideal for someone who understands the lab—but wants to spend more time engaging with users, driving adoption, and shaping product direction. What You’ll Do 1. Lead Pilot Projects – Design and manage validation studies with biotech partners and labs. 2. Gather Feedback – Conduct user interviews, observe workflows, and identify integration gaps. 3. Evaluate Assays & Applications – Review assay designs and advise on real-world implementation. 4. Support Product Development – Translate research needs into actionable insights for engineering and product teams. 5. Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work with R&D, software, and commercial teams to refine the platform. 6. Promote Adoption – Help external partners integrate and effectively use our system.
