Engineering Manager

JOB SUMMARY: The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering team in the design, development and testing of structural systems to ensure product functionality and reliability. The position requires working with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and optimize designs. The Engineering R&D Leader is responsible for leading and managing the engineering team to ensure product development programs are completed on time and to quality standards. The position requires excellent leadership skills and technical expertise. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for building and managing engineering and lab testing team. - Manage and execute packaging design, both internally and externally with customers, from concept design, spec development, drawing and sampling, testing and validating, to volume production. - Lead and execute sampling and validation activities. - Work with global R&D team and drive local suppliers to develop new packaging products. - Provide technical guidance and training to help nurture and develop professional skills of team members. SKILLS AND COMPETENCES: - Product Structure Evaluation - Product Mechanism Design - Mechanical product design - 2D/3D mold design drawing - Packaging design - Drawing tools and software operationHEALTH AND SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL OBLIGATIONS - Self-motived and capable to work independently. Entrepreneurial mindset a plus. - Creative and enjoy hands-on works. - Familiar with 2D and 3D engineering and design tools (ie IRONCAD, AutoCAD, Pro-E, ….). EXPERIENCE: - 8+ years of work experiences in engineering. Experience in packaging and/or logistics industry preferred.
