5G-NR Baseband/L1_Phy Technical Manager

Preferred Skills (5 or more): • Wireless Channels: Proficiency in understanding and optimizing wireless channel characteristics. • Beamforming: Expertise in beamforming techniques for efficient signal transmission and reception. • Advanced MIMO: Extensive experience in advanced Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) systems, including spatial multiplexing and diversity techniques. • Error Correction: Strong familiarity with Error Correction techniques such as Low-Density Parity-Check (LDPC) codes and Polar codes. • System on Chip (SoC): Demonstrated expertise in high-speed SoC components, including multi-core systems, Direct Memory Access (DMA), Double Data Rate (DDR) memory, and Peripheral Component Interconnect Express (PCIe) interfaces. • Simulation: Proven ability to perform system and channel modeling using tools like Matlab, Pysim, etc. • Standards: In-depth understanding of 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards, particularly 4G and 5G Physical Layer (PHY) specifications. • DevOps: Proficiency in DevOps tools and methodologies, including but not limited to Git, Jira, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. • Networking Protocols: Strong knowledge of networking principles, protocols and analysis tools such as Ethernet, Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4), Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6), Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), Secure Shell (SSH), and Wireshark. • LTE/5G PHY Software: Hands-on experience with large-scale closed or open- source LTE/5G software projects and stacks, including OpenAirInterface (OAI), Open Source Core (OSC), and Radisys. • Linux: Proficiency in Linux environments, including Yocto porting to ARM/RISC architectures, cross-compiling, and kernel space programming.
